When we were interviewing candidates last year, so many of them said, “Tacoma doesn’t have a plan! We should have a plan!” Well. Turns out, we have one. It was created in 2015 and it’s called Tacoma 2025. It’s a vision and framework for what we’d like to be in 2025, with input provided by over 2000 residents of Tacoma. Tanisha’s job is to implement the plan and make sure it serves the city, (small C) not just the City (big C). This episode filled me with hope for the future of our fair city, and increased my confidence in the many people working hard to make sure we get there.
